McKayla Minter is a dedicated veterinary technician with roots in both Texas and Oklahoma. She has always had a passion for animal care, which led her to begin her career in October 2021. Initially working in an equine-only hospital, McKayla quickly fell in love with the hands-on, rewarding work that comes with being a vet tech. After relocating in August, she sought a clinic that felt like home, and found that sense of belonging at Alpine.

McKayla’s love for animals extends into her personal life as well. She owned a cherished horse for 15 years and recently made the difficult decision to find her a new home, a reflection of her deep care and commitment to their well-being. Her husband has been her steadfast partner and best friend through life’s journeys.

Between the ages of 20 and 25, McKayla experienced life in four different states. She has a love for outdoor adventures, especially horseback riding, hiking, and kayaking. A true comfort food enthusiast, she enjoys the simple pleasures, while her greatest fear is free-falling—a contrast to her fearless approach to everything else she loves and values.
